Upgrading ChatGPT: A Guide to Using 'GPTs' (Formerly Plugins)
ChatGPT's plugin feature has been integrated and expanded into 'GPTs'. Learn how to leverage the GPT Store to turn ChatGPT into a more versatile assistant.
The GPT Store is where you can find specialized versions of ChatGPT.
GPTs are custom versions of ChatGPT, created by OpenAI or the community, focused on a specific task. They replace the old plugin system and offer more powerful capabilities, helping ChatGPT go beyond its knowledge limitations.
How to Use GPTs?
Note: This feature is only available to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise users.
- Access the GPT Store: Log in to your ChatGPT account. In the left sidebar, click on 'Explore GPTs'.
- Find GPTs: You can browse through categories (DALL·E, Writing, Productivity...) or use the search bar to find a GPT that suits your needs. For example, search for 'Canva' for design, or 'Consensus' for academic research.
- Start chatting: Select a GPT you want to use. The chat interface will open, and you can start giving commands as usual. That GPT will automatically use its special abilities to respond to you.
Some Useful GPTs You Should Try
- Canva: Helps you quickly create designs for social media posts, presentations, logos... with just a few commands.
- WebPilot: Allows ChatGPT to access a specific webpage, read its content, and summarize or answer questions based on it.
- Consensus: Searches for and summarizes answers from over 200 million scientific papers. Extremely useful for students and researchers.
- Zapier: Connects ChatGPT to thousands of other apps like Google Sheets, Gmail, and Slack to automate your work.
Exploring and using GPTs will transform ChatGPT from a regular chatbot into a personalized assistant capable of performing many complex tasks, helping you take your work productivity to a new level.
