Guide to Setting Up a Secure Browser Profile with Multilogin

A properly configured browser profile is the foundation for success when managing multiple accounts. Here are the important steps and notes.

Correct configuration from the start enhances trust and minimizes risks.

1. Choose the Right Operating System (OS)

Always choose the operating system (OS) in Multilogin that matches the computer you are using. For example, if you use a MacBook, select macOS. If you use a Windows machine, select Windows. A mismatch between the profile's OS and the actual OS is an anomaly easily detected by websites.

2. Set Up a Proxy: The Heart of Anonymity

A proxy helps conceal your real IP address. Each profile should be assigned a separate proxy to avoid linking accounts. When choosing a proxy, prioritize:

• Residential Proxies: These have the highest trust level because they are IPs from real users.
• Geolocation: Choose a proxy located near the region where you want your account to operate. For example, use a US proxy for business in the US.

After adding a proxy, always click the "Check proxy" button to ensure a stable connection and that parameters like Timezone, WebRTC, and Geolocation are automatically updated according to the proxy's IP.

3. Customize the Browser Fingerprint

This is the most complex part, but Multilogin has done an excellent job of automating it. When you create a new profile, Multilogin automatically generates a natural and plausible browser fingerprint. You should only edit the parameters in the 'Navigator' or 'Hardware' sections if you truly know what you are doing. For beginners, trust the default configuration.

4. Cookies and "Warming Up" the Profile

A brand new profile (with no cookies) that immediately registers for an account can be seen as bot behavior. Before taking any major action, 'warm up' the profile by:

• Using the Cookie Robot: Multilogin's automated feature that visits popular websites to collect cookies.
• Browsing manually: Spend 5-10 minutes visiting news sites, watching YouTube, searching on Google... to create a natural browsing history.

This helps your profile look like a real user with a previous history of internet usage, thereby increasing the account's trust score.
