Understanding DDoS Attacks and Mitigation Solutions

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are one of the biggest threats to the stability of online services. Being equipped with knowledge of how to prevent them is essential.

DDoS overloads a server with a massive amount of fake traffic.

A DDoS attack occurs when an attacker uses a network of multiple computers (a botnet) to simultaneously send an enormous amount of traffic to a target server. This exhausts the server's resources (bandwidth, CPU, RAM), making the service inaccessible to legitimate users.
